A major chunk of the success Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar achieved as batsmen was due to them having excellent understanding between them. While chasing big targets or setting huge totals they had a lot of faith in themselves and helped each other in all stages of their career. There were periods when Sachin used to find batting difficult and get off the mark. Ganguly would be the aggressor and keep the scoreboard ticking. Ganguly has had before issues combating Pakistan bowlers like Wasim Akram. They used to always target his rib cage, then Sachin would ease the pressure of him. This is the reason why they are regarded as one of world’s best partnership pairs even today.
