Greg Chappell was the outstanding Australian batsman of his generation. Though he had an appetite for big scores, it was his calm manner that bowlers found just as disheartening. He made a century in his first and final Tests. He used to often get the better of the Legendary West Indian Bowling Attack. He had a terrific test career in which he scored 7110 runs at an average of 53.86. His stint as a captain was not a successful one. Greg Chappell is the number five in out list of Top 10 Best Australian Batsmen of All Time.
