2. 95 vs West Indies, June 28th 2009
West Indies has always been difficult hard for every Indian team that has visited before. You ask Sunil Gavaskar he probably would have the same answer. Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Indian side opted to bat first against Chris Gayle led West Indies side. At one stage, India were 7-3. When panic started to loom India’s chances in came MS Dhoni, the Indian captain. It was tough batting conditions out there. The pitch looked flat but it was on the slower side. Yuvraj put some resistance but departed when the score was at 57. It was all down to MS Dhoni. Dhoni played an innings of determination and with purpose. Wickets kept tumbling at the other end, but Dhoni stayed without losing concentration and composure, Thankfully for him RP Singh stayed at the crease with Dhoni. They both ensured that India atleast reached a respectable total and something for the bowlers to bowl for. Dhoni made a stupendous 95 off 130 balls. India lost the match but this innings stood out where everyone else failed.
