4. Graeme Smith (South Africa): 27 Years and 323 days
Now, this is the fourth time that the name of a South African player has popped up in the list. When we talk about Smith, we get an image of astute leader and opening batsman for the rainbow nation. He holds the record for most test wins as a captain. This man set the tone for the side both with the bat and captaincy in hand. He was the youngest captain for the country and in a career spanning for 12 years in which he scored in excess of 16,000 runs with 37 international centuries. Although, “Biff” as he was fondly called, may have retired from the game but yet his magnificent stroke play and elegance is still alive in millions of hearts.
