9. Andy Flower (ZIMBABWE) – 199*
The South African born southpaw was a legendary wicket-keeper batsman for the Zimbabwean side. He was a player of different league and consistency all together. One of his career defining innings of 199 runs came against the mighty South African side at the Harare sports club in 2001. In his long vigil at the crease which lasted for 590 minutes, he faced as many as 470 balls and accumulated 24 fours and one six. His outrageous display of dominance and control on the off side was matchlessly supreme. He was unlucky as he ran out of partners otherwise it would have been his second double-century. More than anything else the arduous dedication, impeccable concentration was the hallmark of this stupendous innings. He is ranked 9th on our list.
