2. Karun Nair
The Karnataka batter, Karun Nair stole the show with his glorious knock of 328 against Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy final of this year. His brilliant innings even got better of Gul Mohammed’s 69 year old record of highest score in a Ranji final. In First-Class cricket, he has piled up 1,497 runs in only 32 innings at an amazing average of 51. While in List-A matches, the 23 year old averages 54.
He can certainly grab the middle-order position in the longer format of the game with his ardent dedication, commitment and appetite for big runs with the bat in hand. In the recently concluded IPL 8, he had a decent season with Rajasthan Royals (RR).
