7. Shreyas Iyer
The Man who can cut the world’s best fast bowler Strac in dander for a six, indeed requires possession of some special prodigal talents. In the 2015 IPL auction, he was purchased by the Delhi Daredevils franchisee for 26 times his actual base price of 10 lakhs at a whopping 2.6 cores. The promising right hander youngster who hails from Mumbai came into the limelight on back of some brilliant performances in his maiden Ranji season in which he was the top run scorer for his state side with his runs tally in excess of 800. With his abrupt consistency, temperament and gnarling ability to soak up pressure up front, he seems to be the future of the Indian cricket. He won many accolades with his magnificent knock of 70* against the potent seam attack of Chennai Super Kings on a green top at Raipur in what was a low scoring match. In this edition of the IPL, his appetite for runs was matchless to any other young Indian player. The young lad has scored 439 runs at a decent strike rate of 128 and at an average of 33. On back of his marvelous displays in IPL and Ranji trophy, he can get a national call up sooner or later.
