A dejected and heartbroken, AB de Villiers showcasing his raw emotion after tasting defeat against New Zealand in 2015 World Cup Semi-final is still fresh in everyone’s mind. The World T20 presents South Africa and de Villiers with the golden opportunity of winning their first ever ICC trophy. Previously, South Africa has been found guilty of under using their most lethal weapon, ABD in their line-up. But, nowadays the belligerent South African batsman is opening the batting in T20Is. Recently, we witnessed the effect of it as well when the Superman of cricket blasted a 29-ball 71 run knock against England. The astute move of opening the innings with de Villiers might well prove to be a masterstroke for the Proteas in World T20.
