7. Australia VS Pakistan, 1st Test at Melbourne, 2009
Shane Watson had emerged as one of the greatest openers in test cricket. In the 1st test against Pakistan, Australia declared their innings on 454 runs for the loss of 5 wickets after electing to bat. Shane Watson served a 182 run stand along with Simon Katich until he got run out on 93 runs by Salman Butt. Watson was also economical with ball, taking a wicket in his spell of 13 overs. In the 2nd innings, Watson went unbeaten on 120 runs as Australia declared their innings yet again on 255 and eventually won by 170 runs.
