Shane Watson has recently bid adieu to International and First Class Cricket after Australia’s unfortunate exit from World t20. Having contributed with both bat and ball, he has been termed as one of the greatest all rounders in limited overs cricket. Here are some of his awe-inspiring performances:
10. Australia VS Pakistan, World Cup Quarter Final at Adelaide Oval, 2015
Having payed magnificently throughout the tournament, Australia were up against Pakistan in the 3rd quarter final. Pakistan were bowled out with 213 runs on board, after electing to bat. Australian openers in the 2nd innings fell cheaply under 50 runs. However, Wahab Riaz’s majestic spell disarrayed the middle order for a couple of overs, Shane Watson with his unbeaten 64 runs booked the semi-final berth for Australia.
