2. Sourav Ganguly:
After the match-fixing turmoil which had plagued the Indian cricket in 2000, Sourav Ganguly was handed over the reins. Dada was shouldered with the responsibility of restoring faith in Indian cricket. But he was destined to achieve greater things which would change the very existence of Indian team on the cricketing map. The Indian Southpaw taught his team how to play tough brand of cricket and blessed the team with power of self-belief to win matches away from home, a thing which was unknown in the culture of Indian cricket for decades. It was under Ganguly’s regime that talents like Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh came to the fore. The former Indian captain changed the way people perceive Indian’s on the 22 yards across the globe.
