9. Cricket All-Stars Series:
Even though this T20 series was not an international event but yet it was one of the dazzling highlights of the year. The 3-match T20 series between Sachin’s Blasters and Warne’s Warriors which was held in USA garnered a huge level of public interest as it marked the comeback of many legends on the 22 yards. All the cricket fans turned nostalgic when they witnessed legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Warne, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, Brian Lara, VVS Laxman, Mahela Jayawardene, Muttiah Muralitharan, Shaun Pollock, Curtly Ambrose, Glenn McGrath, Mathew Hayden, Michael Vaughan, Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis, Kumar Sangakkara, Saqlain Mushtaq, Daniel Vettori, Courtney Walsh, Wasim Akram, Allan Donald and many more on the field again. It was indeed an unforgettable and heart-warming experience to see these players in action again. The tournament was a joint initiative by Sachin and Warne to globalize cricket.
