Fastest Ball by Mitchell StarcThe World Cup hero, Mitchell Starc took the cricketing world by storm when he bowled the fastest ball in the history of Test cricket. During the third day of the Perth Test match against New Zealand, the Aussie speedster sent down a 160.4 Kph delivery. Ross Taylor was at the receiving end when Starc bowled this thunderbolt delivery. The left-arm pacer became the fourth bowler in the world to clock the 160 kph mark. Shoaib Akhtar who had touched the 161.3 kph mark in 2003 holds the record of delivering the fastest ball in the history of cricket. This year, the Baggy green pacer accumulated 88 wickets across all the formats of the game.
