3. Historic Test series win over Sri Lanka:
Coming to the Emerald Island, the Indian team had a tough task in hand. They were carrying the heavy baggage of India’s winless streak in Test series in Sri Lanka. But Virat Kohli in what was his first full-fledged Test mission as a captain marshaled his troops to series win against Lanka. It was India’s first Test series win in Sri Lanka after a long gap of 22 years. It is worth mentioning that it was also India’s first Test series win away from home since 2011 which made the series win even more unforgettable for the players as well as the fans.
