7. Hashim Amla (South Africa) – 862 runs
In last few years, South Africa’s Hashim Amla has piled up heap of runs in 50-overs cricket. And certainly this year has been no different. Amla continues to score runs for fun. Consistency has found a great exponent in the ‘Mighty Hash.’ The elegant right-hander has featured in 18 ODIs for South Africa in 2017. And he has scored 862 runs at 50.70 with a strike-rate of 88.41.
Amla also has three centuries and four half-centuries. The Proteas opener had a blazing start to Champions Trophy as well. He had compiled a well made ton in tournament’s opener. But he couldn’t score a lot against Pakistan and India respectively. Amla also had a merry time against Bangladesh at home and is ranked 7th in our list of Top 10 Leading ODI Run-Scorers in 2017.
