8. Mohammad Azharuddin’s fairy-tale beginning
Not every batsman can score hundreds in his first three Tests unless he is the magician from India, Mohammad Azharuddin. The former Indian skipper is the only batsman in the history of Test cricket to score centuries in his first three Tests. Azhar had weaved his magic against England in 1984-85, when he stroked 110 at Kolkata, 48 & 105 at Chennai and 122 & 54* at Kanpur. The Hyderabadi Talisman was the face of graciousness and class with the bat in hand. His wristy flicks and supremacy on the leg-side made him of the most gorgeous sights on the cricket field.
