9. Michael Hussey (Australia) – 40.43
One of the most consistent batsmen Australia has ever produced, Mike Hussey proved to the cricket world that T20 cricket is not about power-hitting alone, it has some class and patience to go with it. He showed that if a batsman is patient enough to respect the good balls and punish only the bad balls, he can be incredibly successful in this format. Hussey is widely been recognized as Mr. Cricket, and has shown in IPL how well he deserves this title. From the first season, he was part of Chennai Super Kings where he enjoyed a major part of his success, but last season he played for Mumbai Indians. Hussey very much contributes in the game as an excellent fielder as well, often pulling out some stunners. He averages 40.43 from 55 matches with 14 half centuries and one century under his armour. He strikes the ball at a decent strike rate of 123.22. He is no. 9 in the list of top 10 highest batting average in IPL.
