7. Bangladesh vs Pakistan, 19th April 2015
After the World cup grandeur and kudos, the Bangladeshi team was looking at its all time Belligerent best. They didn’t disappoint their fans with their brilliant display against Pakistan. After winning the first match of the 3-match ODI series, the home side was just one win away from defeating the Pakistani side for the time in a bilateral series.
In the 2nd ODI, Pakistani side couldn’t bear the prowess and dominance of the Bangladeshi bowlers. They were restricted to 239 runs only after batting first. The centurion of the first match: Tamim Iqbal created havoc once again when he hammered a brutal innings of 116 runs. He thwarted back to back centuries and combined for a match winning 118 run stand with Mushfiqur Rahim who also notched up his half-century. The home side outplayed the visiting Pakistani team with 7 wickets in hand and 12 overs to spare.
In this way, they registered their first series win against Pakistan in ODI’s.
