7. Faf du Plessis (South Africa)
How would Faf Du Plessis have looked in an England shirt ? He may have been a legend by now, isn’t it ? When he signed a Kolpak deal with Lancashire in 2008, it looked like he was going to join the English team. But after a splendid season in the 2010-11 season he made his debut for the South African side in 2011. He started to stake his claim in the South African side with consistent performances for the Test side and One Day side. He is a complete player and plays all-round the wicket both on the on side and off side. Faf du Plessis has a beligerent off-drive which has caught the attention of many fans and pundits. But one thing which stands out is his ability to soak up the pressure and guide his team home. He enjoys a Test batting average of 51.67 which is a testimony of his credentials. The key thing for him will be to carry on the good start he has had in his career and retain the hunger to score runs.
