7. Marlon Samuels (West Indies): 2,739 runs
Marlon Samuels has been the backbone of West Indian ODI batting. In 50-overs format, no West Indian has scored more runs than him in the last five years. Samuels was always a gifted white-ball player and in the last few years, his performances have come to the fore. The attacking batsman has scored 2,739 runs in 79 away innings at an average of 39 and strike-rate of 82 along with 6 tons and 18 fifties. Surprisingly, he hasn’t been picked for West Indies’ next ODI assignment.
