2. Martin Guptill (New Zealand)
The experienced Kiwi batter, Martin Guptill had a break-through year in 2015. Though the right-hander had been a regular feature for the Black Caps in the colorful jersey but yet he could never do justice to his potentials. But cometh the 2015, Guptill hogged the limelight as he pounded 1,459 runs in ODI cricket, the most by any batsmen in ODIs. The stylish batter was also the leading run-scorer in the World Cup 2015 and broke many records with his knock of 237* runs. Despite all his success in the white ball cricket, Guptill could never perform consistently in Tests. But finally the 29-year-old seems to have found his feet in the longer format of the game as well as he smashed 253 runs in the 2-match Test series against Sri Lanka. It would be really fascinating to witness how Guptill goes about his business this year.
