9. India vs Zimbabwe, August 29, 2005
With 226 on the board, thanks largely to brilliant half centuries from MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh; it surely didn’t look to be a day for big wins. But Irfan Pathan had other things in his mind. The guy, who was drawing from Wasim Akram and looked destined for much glory and fame. Enjoying the best time of his ultimately lop sided International career, he blaze through the Zimbabwean top order with his darting in swingers with three of his 5 scalps bowled. Ajit Agarkar too more than chipped in,reaping 4 wickets to go with an economy of 2.00. Heath Streak’s lovely spell of swing bowling was firstly undone by Yuvi & MSD, while the senseless batting by the top order made them eventually lose the game by 161 runs.
