Sanga’s double ton made this encounter a very one sided one but well when Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat they were one wicket down after scoring only four run. Sangakkara came to the crease really early and was exposed to the new ball and faced South Africa’s then two prime bowlers Ntini and Pollock, who were really lethal with the new ball. Kumar Survived the initial stage of the innings and led the counter attack later on a went on to score a big double hundred. The knock included 32 solid fours and one six and this solid knock earned Kumar player of the match award and gifted Sri Lanka a huge win. Also he went on to make a very good 64 runs in the second innings too.
