2. 183(148) vs Pakistan, 18th March 2012
This innings was so great an ODI knock, that the opposition captain Misbah termed the knock as one of the best innings he had ever seen. After demolishing another Asian Giants Srilanka in the Hobart Chase just a month ago, India turned to the same man they had turned to last month. Kohli firstly stiched a second wicket partnership with Sachin Tendulkar, the latter taking on the aggressive role. After Sachin was defeated by a beautiful doosra from Ajmal, the onus shifted on Kohli to take India past the line. India needed to chase 330 and Kohli made sure India gets there easily with his 183 run knock hitting 23 Fours on the way. He found the gaps and boundaries were easy to come by for him. Teaming up with Rohit Sharma, Kohli took on the Pakistani bowlers in this high pressure game offering no leverage specially on the pads. The result -India won the game with 13 balls to be bowled.
