8. Dinesh Chandimal (Sri Lanka)
Sri Lanka’s Dinesh Chandimal had a great year with the bat in One-day cricket. In 13 innings, he accumulated 2 centuries and 6 half-centuries, scoring 656 runs at an average of 59.63. The stylish batsman had an outstanding series in England where he struck four half-centuries in 5 matches. Chandimal also had a grand start against Aussies at home as he registered scores of 80*, 48 and 102 runs in first 3 matches though he failed in last two matches of the series. The only point of concern for this Sri Lankan batsman has been his poor strike-rate of 77.72; otherwise he had a flawless 2016.
