6. Xavier Marshall (West Indies): 12 sixes
The West Indian opener, Xavier Marshall scored a brisk 157* in 118 balls against Canada in 2008. The knock included 12 sixes and 11 boundaries. Although, many would argue that it was against a weaker bowling line-up but runs are runs irrespective of any opponents. At that time it was a record for maximum number of sixes in a ODI innings. A Man who was considered to be the future of West Indies cricket, couldn’t stand up to the hype and expectations of international cricket.
