One of the modern day aggressors, Dhawan has been marked as the heir apparent to Virender Sehwag in the Indian scheme of things. He is very powerful on the off-side and has a great liking for extravagant cover drives as well as the cut shot. He is also very strong on his pads. He is one of the few IPL stars to have represented 3 teams in the IPL, so far. He opens the batting with David Warner for Sunrisers Hyderabad and the duo holds the reputation of being the most dangerous opening pair in the IPL.
