3. 151 against South Africa in 2011:
The highlight of Clarke’s this innings is that the he made 151 runs at a staggering strike rate of 85.79 in a test match. This just shows how much of a fearless brand of cricket he played and was a reason of his success. As they say “Fortune favors the brave”, it very much applies here. Australia batting first were again in trouble as they were 40 for 3 and even after that no Aussies player could stay long enough to support Clarke, this was a lone battle fought by Clarke and he alone guided Australia to a respectable total of 284 in the first innings. Although they went on to lose the match because of their second innings famous collapse of being bowled out for 47 runs but what an effort from Michael Clarke, what a brave innings.
