8. Rahul Dravid (India) – 4000 runs
Rahul Dravid, ‘ The Wall’ as he is rightly was a persona of temperament and patience. When he made his debut in 1996, many didn’t support the notion of including him in the shorter format of the game seeing the pace at which he scores runs. In Dravid’s one day career, there was short intervals where he gave the impression that he was not fit for this format. But this champion cricketer from Karnataka proved now and again that he rightfully belonged here and deserved to play for India across all three formats. Rahul Dravid showed his batting prowess in the limited overs format with his scintillating run in the 1999 World Cup. From there, he has not looked back. He has provided able support to the more aggressive partners at the other end and when it was required of him to stay at the crease and stabilize the innings he was there for India. Rahul Dravid has scored 4000 runs from 109 innings at 38.83. He is no.8 in the list.
