Everything said and done, we come to Him. What some jobless creatures failed to understand was that His status was bigger than the game as well as the country. Most would disagree, most would say that I’m swimming in deep seas of emotions and the waves of emotional attachments are guiding my course. But let us sit down and give it a thought.  He gave the game and the country and not to forget the countrymen everything he had. He made sure that religions faded into nothingness and grudges stepped aside when he walked out to bat. He ensured that hatred and tension were erased from minds, tongues and hearts. He carried, what others call a burden, of billions and not even for a second did he lost track of his purpose. When you ask Him to change stickers on His helmet, do you even know who you are talking to? Your respect for your country is appreciated and that too very much. But let me tell you one thing my dear pseudo-nationalists, if our country could ever take human form and meet Him, our country would’ve taken a bow when in front of Him.

On the other hand, this country is made up of you and me. If we respect Him, it means the country respects Him. If you believe that you are bigger than Him, only then the country can be bigger than Him. But then, that is not the case. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is bigger than this country and His constant denial to this universal truth further cements this claim of mine.
