2. Sanath Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka)
There are numerous players who play the game of cricket but only few out of the ordinary talents are remembered for ages. And one such player is the former Sri Lankan skipper, Sanath Jayasuriya. The destructive Lankan southpaw will always be loved as one of the modern day aggressors who along with Romesh Kaluwitharana changed the way ODIs are played in the first 15 overs. Long before ago, all the teams use to play cautiously upfront but the Lankan pair changed this trend with their aggression and dominance right from the word go. Jayasuriya accumulated 13,430 runs in ODIs at a mind-boggling strike-rate of 91.22 and won his country many a matches on his own. He will be the other opener of the greatest Asian ODI XI. The destructive batter also took 323 wickets and was more than a handy bowler for his side.
