Batsmen to hit six sixes in an over 21st century products
3. Herchelle Gibbs (South Africa)
When it comes to the international arena, South Africa’s Herchelle Gibbs was the first batsman to hit six sixes in an over in an ODI match. He dispatched Daan van Bunge of Netherland to six beautiful hits for six in the 2007 World Cup. In the process, Gibbs raised US$ 1 million for the Habitat of Humanity housing project. It was actually contest run by the sponsors – Johnny Walker. Gibby hence became the first batsman in international cricket and the third overall, to hit six sixes in an over. He was 21st century’s first addition to the list of Batsmen to hit six sixes in an over.
